Veterans Park

Veterans Park has a lot of mountain bike trails, hiking trails and is a great place to enjoy the great outdoors. There are a few types of trails located at this park. The first is a shared use trail, which is paved. It is the perfect place for those that want to run, walk, skate or bicycle. This is about 10 to 12 feet wide. There is also a walking trail it is also paved however only meant for walking. There are paths, which are anythings more narrow than 8 feet. These include sidewalks, gravel paths, and grass paths. Some of these are paved and some of them are not. Then, of course, there are hiking trails. Generally, these trails are only a person's width. They are not paved and are for pedestrians only. All the hiking trails range in difficulty with some trails longer and steeper than others. There is a list of trails on their website.

The park does have a few rules that guests are asked to follow. The park is open from dawn to duck daily. This is a family park and for that reason, alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the premises. Pets are allowed as long as they are on a leash and the owner picks up their waste. The park also asks that guests do not liter, but dispose of trash in the designated receptacles. Guests are asked to only use designated trails for the designated activities. Keep in mind that trails do close if they are muddy.
